Terms of service

This is the deal between Hello DIBS Inc., the company behind Dibs, and the businesses that use it. It is written to be read, because a contract you cannot understand protects nobody. Creating an account means you agree to it.
What Dibs is
Dibs puts a quote form on your website, delivers every lead to you by email and dashboard, and can forward leads to your booking system. Some features contact your leads for you, including an AI assistant that calls them back. You must be a business, the person creating the account must be at least 18 and allowed to act for it, and the website you put the form on must be yours or one you are allowed to change.
What it costs
The form, the dashboard, the lead emails and the CRM connection are free, and stay free. There is no card on file and nothing to cancel. Some features are paid extras: the AI callback, Dibs Insights, and, if we introduce a charge for it, the done-for-you install. A paid feature always shows its price before you buy it, and we never charge you anything you did not explicitly agree to. Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax where it applies.
Founding members. Accounts created before 30 September 2026 get the paid features free until that date, with no card on file and no automatic charge. On 1 October those features stop unless you choose to pay for them. The free form keeps running either way.
Billing, cancellation and refunds
- Paid features are billed monthly in advance, through Stripe, on the day you turn them on and the same day each month after.
- You can cancel a paid feature at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. It stays on until the end of the month you paid for, then stops. We do not refund the remainder of a month you cancel in.
- If a paid feature did not work for a substantial part of a month because of a fault on our side, tell us and we refund or credit that month. We would rather refund than argue.
- If you buy a done-for-you install and we do not complete it within 5 business days, or cannot complete it, you get the money back.
- If we change a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before it does.
The AI callback and phone numbers
- When it is on, an automated assistant calls each new lead in your company's name, using the details the lead typed, within the calling hours described in the privacy policy. It confirms details and answers general questions. It does not quote prices or book jobs.
- The phone number it calls from is provided by us and stays ours. When the feature ends, the number is released after 30 days.
- Consent and recording are shared work. Our form collects each lead's written consent to be called and texted, records the wording and the time, and the assistant can announce that a call is recorded. You are responsible for how your team uses the calls and recordings and for any rule that applies to your company that we cannot know about, including telemarketing, call-recording and consent laws in the places you serve. If you are unsure, ask a lawyer; we are not one.
- The calls run on third-party telephone and AI services. If those services are down, calls do not go out; the lead still reaches your inbox and dashboard.
- Fair use: the feature is for calling your own leads. Calling volumes far outside a moving company's normal pattern may be paused while we talk to you.
Your leads are yours
Every lead captured through your form belongs to you. We hold and process leads to run the service for you: delivering them, showing your dashboard, forwarding them to your booking system, and placing the callbacks you switched on. If you leave, you can take your leads with you and ask us to delete the rest. We also use anonymized, aggregated statistics across all accounts to improve Dibs and publish benchmarks, as described in the privacy policy.
Your side of the deal
- Your business information is accurate, and the website you put the form on is yours or one you are allowed to change.
- You contact leads honestly and lawfully. The form collects each lead's written consent to be called and texted about their estimate. If you contact leads outside Dibs, or after they opt out, staying within the law is on you.
- You keep a privacy policy of your own that covers the leads you collect, and you give us its address so the form can link to it.
- You do not use Dibs to spam, harass, mislead, or to collect information you have no business collecting, and you do not put the form on a site that is not about moving or storage services without asking us first.
- You do not try to break into, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the service, and you do not resell it without a written agreement with us.
- You keep your sign-in email secure. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the leads or the service, you cover the cost.
Our side of the deal
- We run the service with reasonable skill and care, watch it, and fix what breaks.
- We tell you the truth about your numbers. Estimates are labelled as estimates.
- We do not sell your data or your leads, and we never give your leads to another company.
- We protect the data as described in the privacy policy, and we tell you if there is a breach that affects you.
- We tell you about changes that matter, by email, before they apply.
The software
Dibs, its form, its dashboard, its WordPress plugin and everything that makes them work belong to Hello DIBS Inc. You get a non-exclusive licence to put the form and the plugin on your own websites for as long as you have an account. The name Dibs and its logo are ours; you may say your form is "powered by Dibs" and may not suggest we endorse your company beyond that. If you send us an idea for improving Dibs, we may use it without owing you anything.
What we do not promise
Dibs is provided as it is. We do not promise a particular number of leads, that every call connects, or that the service is never interrupted. Numbers we publish, like conversion benchmarks, are real measurements from real accounts, but your results depend on your website, your traffic and your market. Parts of the service rely on other companies (hosting, telephone, AI, email, payments), and we are not responsible for their outages beyond the refund rule above.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from Dibs is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending things
You can close your account at any time by telling us. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why; where it is something you can fix, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Either way, you can request an export of your leads for 30 days after closing, and after that they are deleted as described in the privacy policy.
Changes and the law
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date above changes and account holders are told by email at least 14 days before the change applies. Continuing to use Dibs after that means you accept the change. These terms are a contract with Hello DIBS Inc., governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and disputes belong to the state and federal courts located in Florida. Before either of us goes to court, we agree to try to sort it out by email and, if needed, a call. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
